Early Childhood Servants Needed
Early Childhood Ministry servants are needed for Sunday morning, for both the 9am and 11am worship experiences. The role of an Early Childhood Ministry servant is to provide safe, nurturing care for our youngest disciples. Responsibilities include playing with, reading to, praying for and encouraging small children while exhibiting Christ-like love and patience. If you are interested in serving this in this vital ministry in our Church family, please contact Shelley Puckett (205) 937-9642 or email@example.com with the date(s) you are available. All dates in 2019 are open!
We have a team slated to serve in Guatemala March 23-30, 2019. There are four primary ways to support our team as they seek to install approximately 25 stoves among the villages during their time there.
▪ Pray for the team choosing to serve and for their families while they are away to serve.
▪ Consider making a gift to the "Rice & Beans" Offering so food may be provided to the families receiving the stoves.
▪ Donate small beanie babies size plush animals.
▪ Donate Hot Wheels/Matchbox cars.
5:00 PM : Twinklelights, Starlights, and Supernovas
Join us this Sunday morning during the 9:00 (Classic Worship) or the 11:00 (Modern Worship) Worship Experiences as Rev. Dr. Jimmy Bassham leads us in a two part message series entitled "The Better Part." The primary Scripture Text for this series is Luke 10:38-42.
Pastor Mark will conclude the "Uncomfortable" message series on Sunday, March 3. We will also celebrate The Lord's Supper together that Sunday morning. The topic for the day will be "Uncomfortable People."
The Ash Wednesday Worship Experience will take place on Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at 7:00 PM. This marks the beginning of the Lenten Season for Followers of Jesus.
A New Lenten Series
This series explores the historic Christian season of Lent—from Ash Wednesday through Palm Sunday. This rich Christian tradition points us back to the reality of our sin and our desperate need for a Savior. Christians have participated in this season not as a means of meaningless self-denial or pious ritual keeping, but as a means of emptying ourselves of distracting comforts so that we can be filled with renewed faith and hope. During this season, we focus on the multifaceted aspects of repentance: recognition of our sin, hope in a Savior, and obedience as a response to his grace. Rather than engage in empty ceremony or purely internal spiritual growth, we learn that observance of this season produces in us a richer faith for the sake of the world.

Special Gifts for Stage Improvement
The Leadership Team is seeking to enhance our stage platform in a way that makes us compliant with the American Disabilities Act (ADA) and makes room for the growth of our Chancel Choir in Classic Worship and our Worship Band in Modern Worship. Our desire is to be able to offer the opportunity for EVERYONE to embrace the moment in leading us in worship. The estimated cost for this project is $15,000. If you would like to contribute above your tithe to this project, please designate your gift for "Worship Stage Fund" in the memo line or through our electronic giving app.
