Mothers Day Out

Picture
Shining Star's Mother's Day Out is an extension of the church's ministry of caring for our community's children during the important formative years of development.  Through a Christian atmosphere, the purpose of our program is to provide a happy, loving, and stimulating environment in which children will develop and maintain a positive self-image.  We offer the ABEKA and Wee Learn curriculums teaching prerequisite skills to academics through concrete learning experiences.

Shining Stars MDO is a family-oriented program provided in a loving Christian environment.  Our goals include:
  •     To help children develop self-esteem and self identity
  •     To encourage a thirst for knowledge and a positive experience in a school environment.
  •     To help children develop independence and feeling comfortable being away from home.
  •     To facilitate children to accept help and direction from adults.
  •     To help children develop the ability to appropriately express feelings.
  •     To teach children to live in harmony with other children, while valuing one's own rights and the rights of others.
  •     To stimulate creative expression through art, music, and imaginative play.
  •     To encourage language skills, learning skills, and the ability to follow directions.
  •     To encourage the development of fine motor skills, large motor skills, and physical strengthening.
  •     To develop spiritual and Biblical foundations for living

Our school term is offered from September through May. Classes are offered from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm Monday through Thursday. Parents can choose between a 4-day or a 2-day program.
